The time has come for active gardening and, above all, sowing. Every gardener and gardener is concerned about how to avoid the appearance of weeds. Our article will tell you how to avoid weeds on the lawn. To get a great lawn, we offer the method of English gardeners.
We will touch briefly on the main stages of preparing a plot for lawn sowing:
- Remove large debris.
- Dig up the site by removing the old roots of weeds and wild plants.
- Align the surface of the plot, or set the desired landscape shape.
Now let's get down to the process, which includes a little trick:
- The plot prepared for sowing should be covered with newspaper sheets in one layer.
- Apply a 10-15 cm high primer to the prepared newspaper layer
- In the prepared soil, sow lawn seeds from the standard calculation of 40 g / m2
Roll up the soil.
Weeds from old roots and seeds will not germinate through the newspaper, and the leaves themselves will decay in a year, when your lawn forms a dense turf, will get stronger, and will be able to fight the germination of weeds itself.
Recommendations:
- It is better to remove the turf layer, where the old roots and seeds are contained, before digging the earth.
- A special covering material will protect the seeds from gluing and ingress of weed seeds from the outside. Be careful not to let the seeds overheat in hot weather.
- As an economy, you can use a mixture of clean soil and land from the site.
